A supervillain in Warner Bros DC Comics, Bane is the nemesis of Batman and set to destroy Gotham City and the civilians within. Played by actor Tom Hardy and wearing his trademark face mask in Batman: The Dark Knight Rises (2012), this highly intelligent, extremely strong villain is acclaimed to be the only anti-hero ever to "break the bat". A master in martial arts and mortal combat, Bane gets his super-human strength via the drug Venom.
